Dr. Liam Atchison, Ph.D. has been in higher education as a university and seminary professor since 1984. Before and during his academic career he also served as pastor of several churches. He and his wife, Precious have been effective mentors, spiritual directors and counselors to undergraduate and graduate students. They believe it is important for mentors to open their lives and their homes to students because a search for spirituality is usually a significant part of the university experience. They place a high value on modeling grace and a non-judgmental life, while presenting a clear message of the gospel. Liam has studied at Kansas State University, from which he received a Doctor of Philosophy in intellectual history, and holds a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. He also did post-graduate work in England. Precious holds a Master of Arts in Counseling from Colorado Christian University.
Brent brings 18 years of full-time ministry experience with him to Emmanuel House. He served on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ for 16 years, including one year in Budapest, Hungary and 14 years at Kansas State University. He has studied at both the International School of Theology in San Bernardino, CA and Emmanuel House and holds a Masters in Spiritual Direction from the latter. Jenni comes from the campus ministry world as well having spent six years serving with the Baptist Student Ministries in the states and two years working with college students in East Asia. She also holds a Masters in Spiritual Direction from Emmanuel House. Brent's services are currently on loan to New Covenant Community Church in Lincoln, where he serves as Pastor of Small Groups and Spiritual Formation and Direction.
